About Us

The Lower Michigan Region (“LMR”) is an active local region of the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America (”VCCA”). With our membership comprised of approximately 95 families, we all share an interest in Chevrolet cars and trucks, from their history to touring, from parts to maintenance of our special vehicles.

Our membership has a vast knowledge base of all Chevrolet vehicles spanning more than 100 years of production. Our members’ Chevys include early rare models to modern cars and trucks. We also welcome owners of GMCs as well.

Based in the hub of Automotive manufacturing and the home state of the headquarters of General Motors and Chevrolet, our members have a strong connection to Chevrolet. We’re an active group, participating in many club activities each year. As the only local VCCA region within Michigan, we host activities in many areas of our state. Our members are involved with community automotive enthusiast events held all over Michigan including events held at the Sloan Museum (Flint), “Back to the Bricks” (Flint), Kalamazoo Auto Swap Meet, Cross Roads Village (Flint), Woodward Dream Cruise (Detroit), General Motors Heritage Center (Sterling Heights), and the Gilmore Car Museum (Hickory Corners), to name a few.

We host an annual “Dust Off Tour” in May to kick off each car season and an annual Mothball Tour in October to end each car season. Our members enjoy these tours which include traveling to a local point of interest in our Chevys and spending some time together as a group. We also host an annual Awards Banquet in November. In addition, lots of other activities are planned throughout each year.

Our region also participates in the VCCA Central Meet each year, now celebrating over 50 years of fun-filled tours hosted by local VCCA regions throughout the Central Midwest. In addition, many of our members take advantage of other VCCA-sponsored events throughout the country, ranging from swap meets to tours to judged shows.

We are a family-friendly club with multi-generational family members participating in the region’s activities. Ownership of a Chevrolet is not required, but simply an interest in Chevys is all that is needed. To learn more about the VCCA, visit vcca.org.
